In her first appointment as Local Pastor, Rev. Pilar Perez has been appointed minister to Commonwealth UMC. She is originally from Puerto Rico and has been living in Charlotte for 15 years.

Rev. Perez has been a Methodist for about 40 years. She has been part of different committees, teams and initiatives in the Methodist church at local, district, conference and national levels. 

Pilar says “I will continue with my Seminary studies to complete the Course of Study. I believe that God moves me around what He knows is just good for me. I also believe that there is something special in each person that is part of God’s promises for me.”
